I have an incapacitated child - can I get tax relief?

Yes, as a parent or guardian, you can claim the Incapacitated Child Tax Credit if you have a child who is unable to maintain themselves because of a permanent disability. The disability may be physical or mental.

If you have more than one child permanently incapacitated, you may claim a credit for each child. If a child is taken care of by more than one person, the tax credit is divided between them.
